hmm. what a fun week.
i finally finished most of my overdue work. but the worst part is that i have LA oral commentary next wednesday and POD oral presentation next week. never been good going up and talking about something you don't really like. and we (ian lin and i) were really dumb (mostly my fault) by choosing a strange topic for our POD oral presentation. "Do aeroplanes really fly?". There's nothing really philosophical about it, so it might be a bit hard to stay on topic and be relevant to POD. well, actually, since in the IB hexagon, POD/TOK is in the centre of the six subject strands, we can just talk about how the thing really flies (in the physics sense), and spam stuff about bernoulli's principle or smth...that i have no problem. but...argh. anyone else doing this or any POD teacher reading this, can give me at least an idea on how this might be relavent to philosophy in any way >.<
oh well. maybe thats why i never liked subjects with no definite answers (eg. literature).
yesterday, went out with the sec 2 ncc guys to bukit timah nature reserve/HSBC tree top walk for some orienteering run. the coolest part was when we started, and it began to rain very heavily, and all of us were just running through this mudpath through some jungle and the heavy rain was just soaking us through and water was splashing everywhere as we ran. hope none of them are sick though. yesterday was the sec 4's last day in NCC. how time flies. i remember the days in sec2/3 when the few of us were so enthu about everything, signing up for this and that and all...and only faced the reality of it all at the end of it..though it has been rather enriching, i don't think i'll come back as a cadet lieutenant. kinda tired of it all already.
got 52cm for sit and reach. thats another A. so if nothing goes wrong with the tabulating of the marks, i'll get full marks for NAPFA for the first time =D only thing i'm remotely disappointed with was my 2.4. i was very sure i could make a sub-10 timing this year. oh well. there's always next year =)
our ruggers lost the finals match. hope they don't take it too hard...they played rather well. go neh neh!
DRONG was talking about how the foreign scholars in our schools might be future ministers, scientists, entrepreneurs bla bla in their own countries on friday assembly.
"some may be kings right?" - me, turning to wesley"
"yep. just like me" - Wesley, king of the garbage can
some time later during assembly,
"i will be responsible for all your garbage"- Wesley
before LA(B) where we were going to the LT to watch movie, we met win hon.
"where are you all going?" - win hon
"going to watch movie. at the LT" - me
"oh. can i come and watch too?" - win hon
"of course" - me
"but i have a lesson now" - win hon
"nevermind! the movie is only one second" - darren chew
"one second? vely good! i can watch" - win hon
hoho. goodbye.
'cause you're everywhere to me...and when I close my eyes its you I see
