its from 0-25, 0 is no sound, 25 is...A LOT OF SOUND

default is 12, as 0-25 there are 26 options, including 0. so 12 is the centre, as 0 counts. figure it out yourself, and don't be dumb and argue that it is 13 -_-

whenever i'm in the car, or other quiet place, i use 9
on the MRT, i use 12
i use 15 when on high speed car trips in mat land
18 on aircraft, or when using speakers...
21 only on my speakers when no one else is at home and i'm bored and i want to play it loudly

all are multiples of 3 cuz i like 3. i am so numberist.

i had to go from 9-12 when my grandmother came in. doesn't sound like much, but i can converse with my parents and listen to it while on 9, and i can't with 12. so there.
