weee..finally back here again..oh well..as i said before, theres usually nothing much to say during holidays..

bla bla. so i went for RIKE last week, where we (as in the AC ppl) spent most of the 3 days having joyrides on SAF vehicles like the 5 tonner and the ramp powered launch (RPL). it was on the latter where i fell into a hole on the ramp and got this weird wound that refuses to heal. on the second day of the 'expedition', we (the AC guys) had damage control in the morning, so we skipped half e expedition..then we spent 4 hours in the afternoon at the arcade at SAFYC playing stuff like crazy taxi and some safari game while the rest of e ppl kayaked 48km to tanah merah or wherever..lol the 2 VESHes were damn good at crazy taxi..i think they'll grow up to be taxi drivers. then chu hua might be a safari ranger. or maybe a gigalo. something like that lar.

oh ya damage control was uber cool. there was this ex-indian navy giving us a lecture la, and then he had a very strong indian accent..it was kinda funny la..the way he says 'warship' is like..VHARSHIP..the damage control trainer is one heck of a thingy..its this huge thing that has multiple compartments in it to simulate a..uh..VHARSHIP. anyway ya la. then it has holes in the rooms where water rushes in at -extremely- high speed/pressure and the whole place rocks when the guy activates the thing la. and we have to plug the holes up while water is rushing in...damn fun.

we sailed past changi naval base on the RPL, and there were many american warships based there for some naval exercise..there was the very obvious LHD-2, which was the USS Essex, a helicopter carrier..its decks had sea knights and sea stallions on it, and a few harriers on the aft part of the maindeck.. then there was this smaller but still quite big ship with the pennant number 49 on it, roughly about the same size (maybe a bit bigger) as the RSN LSTs.. 49 was a ticonderoga cruiser's pennant number (CG-49 USS Vincennes), but it sure didn't look like one..well it was actually the USS Harper's Ferry (LSD-49)..

enough about that.. anyway uh... then we had sea comp. nothing much to say about it except that stupid gayreth kept going "WE HAVE TO STRATEGISE". strategise your head la. everytime you 'strategise' end up we lose. then we never strategise then we WIN. stupid guy. did i mention he was socialising with all the other school minah and other ppl like that during RIKE? he has bad taste man. quack

oh well. went out with fat YARN yesterday. you know lee kuan yew or someone once said "there is no such thing as a free lunch".. well, he's WRONG! cuz i had free lunch yesterday..wahaha. thanks to fat yarn =D

gah. i just started on my holiday homework yesterday..one math worksheet with 2 questions. wahaha. i win..lol i bought the STARCRAFT battle chest for 39.90 only k..so cool, but its rather old. system requirements, pentium 90 or higher. lol. anyway, i'll end with a short excerpt of a conversation between gayreth and ian lin on one of the sea comp days =D
